Insurance law

Relations with insurers, from the assessment of the loss through to the dispute over the indemnity.

A claim file is won or lost in the first few days, at the loss assessment and in the way the damage is documented. Where the indemnity is refused or set at a level the insured does not accept, the discussion turns on the policy conditions, on the exclusions and on the evidence gathered at the time of the event.

We assist insured parties and injured parties in dealing with the insurer: reviewing the policy and the contractual conditions, formulating and supporting the claim, challenging a refusal to indemnify, and disputes over quantum. We also handle relations between insurers, in particular recourse and subrogation, as well as professional indemnity insurance.
